On Tuesday 13th May GLAN and Al-Haq are in the High Court challenging the government’s decision to continue the supply of F-35 parts to Israel through the ‘F-35 Carve Out’ decision - a deliberate loophole - despite its own assessment that Israel is not committed to complying with international humanitarian law. 

Israel’s devastating attacks on Gaza and its continued unlawful military operations and land seizure across the West Bank have led to calls for the UK to enact sanctions to prevent further grave breaches of international humanitarian and human rights law.

The Attorney General refused our request on the purported basis that Sa’ar has immunity. The Times of Israel reported that David Lammy personally communicated this decision to Mr Sa’ar. Evidence seen by GLAN indicated that Mr Sa’ar made plans to prematurely leave the UK before he was made aware of the AG’s decision.
